Lester Armes, age 96 of Kingswood, KY died Thursday, 2-14-2019 at Breckinridge Memorial Nursing Facility. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on December 21, 1922, the son of the late Virgil and Latitia Shrewsbury Armes. Lester was a retired carpenter and farmer.

He enjoyed the outdoors – hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his canine companion Lulu. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bevia Armes, siblings Floyd, Herschel, Walter and Albert Armes, Anna Helen Mercer.

Lester is survived by his son Scotty Armes (Pat) of Hardinsburg, KY 2 grandchildren: Annette Smith (Mickey) and Todd Armes (Cindy) 4 great grandchildren: Michael and Patrick Smith, Jordan and Ava Armes 3 great great grandchildren: Tyler, Ellie and Hydie 1 sister: Rue Elma Mattingly of Hudson, KY Graveside services will be held at Kingswood Cemetery on Saturday, 2-16-2019 at 11 AM under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Pocket Full of Hope.
