Viola Ford Dodson, age 96 of Constantine, departed this life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Duncan Valley on August 26, 1922 to the late Joseph Willie and Nealie Johnson Ford. Viola was a member of the Constantine Missionary Baptist Church (1958).

She enjoyed serving the Lord, cooking, quilting, gardening and taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lewis, one daughter, Juanita, one son, Robert Wayne, two sons-in-law, Tom and Roddie Gale and daughter-in-law, Joy Sue, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Viola is survived by 3 sons: William Edward Dodson (Hazel) of Leitchfield, Ky Marvin Louis Dodson (Sandra) of Garfield, KY Roy Lee Dodson (Leoma) of Irvington, KY 2 daughters: Gloria Howard of Custer, KY Lou Etta Elliott of Hudson, KY 1 brother – Hobert Ford of Vine Grove, KY Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, February 9, 2019 after 8 AM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Constantine Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Dick Cook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hosparus or Dick Cook Cemetery are suggested.
