Lillian Kelly Thomas, age 84, of Sanford, NC, went home to meet her Savior on Monday, April 23, 2018. She was born in Lee County to the late Gattis Franklin Kelly and Ethel Rogers Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Currie Thomas.

Lillian was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Shallow Well Church and a great friend to First Congregational Christian Church. Lillian is survived by her two sons, Robert Thomas and wife, Susan of Sanford, Joe Thomas and wife, Debbie of Sanford; one brother, Gattis Kelly, Jr. and wife, Mary of Sanford; a sister, Judy Rosser and husband, Buddy of Lillington; two grandchildren – Shannon Godfrey and David Thomas, and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Robert and Susan Thomas. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Shallow Well Church with Rev. Donnie Thompson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Kelly Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern North Carolina, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
