Funeral services for Linda Dell Cox, 74, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Eastview United Pentecostal Church in Lufkin with Bro. Leon Wallace and Bro. Victor Wagner officiating.

Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Cox was born June 27, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas and passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. She was the daughter of the late William Dodger Bynum and Maurine Hinson Bynum.

Mrs. Cox resided in Lufkin her entire life. She was a member of Eastview United Pentecostal Church for over 35 years. Mrs. Cox loved her God, snow skiing, and coffee.

She was her children’s and grandchildren’s #1 fan. Above all else, Mrs. Cox was a great woman of faith. She is survived by her husband, James Cox of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Matthew Turney of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Brook and Daniel Rast of Lufkin; daughter and spouse, Cassey and Casey Cox of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Patrick Bentley of Lufkin; son, Shane Cox of Lufkin; daughter-in-law and husband, Kathy Cox Burr and Hutch Burr of Lufkin; grandsons, Aaron Cox, Caleb Hudnall, and Clayden Bentley; granddaughter and husband, Kaleigh and Sam Howe; granddaughters, Kelsi Cox, Preslie Turney, Mya Turney, Ashlynn Rast, Avery Cox, and Carigan “Gus” Hudnall; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Bynum of Lufkin; along with numerous other relatives.

Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Rev. Shonn Cox and Clay Cox. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastview United Pentecostal Church: Youth Department – Sheaves for Christ, 2411 Paul Ave.

, Lufkin, Texas 75901. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Eastview United Pentecostal Church in Lufkin. Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
