Linda George 71, of Vandergrift died October 12, 2018 in the St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born March 15, 1947 in Vandergrift she is the daughter of the late Charles and Stella Patrick Brandt. Linda passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

She had held many jobs but most enjoyed caring for Sam and Carole Fanelli, there children and grandchilden whom she loved very much and spoke of often. She enjoyed cooking and was a fantastic cookie maker. Other interests included Bingo and Casino trips with family and friends, her herb garden and family gatherings.

Survivors include her son Joseph (Chrissy) Moore of Vandergrift. Her grandson Dean Burnette of Vandergrift. Two Sisters Nancy (Buck) Altman of Numine and Dian (Kim) King of Kittanning and a brother Richard (Scarlet) Brandt of Tarentum along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Richard “Chops” George and a sister Delores Sanders. The family would like to recognize her care team at St. Margaret Hospital, the Hillman Cancer Center and the girls at UPMC Burtner Road. A special thank you to the 1A Medical Unit team at St. Margaret for there kindness, Friendship and care they provided to “Lovey George” the family is forever grateful.

A celebration of life party for her family and friends will be held Sunday October 21st from noon to 4pm at the White Star Club, 401 Shuster Drive, Freeport, Pa 16229.
