Obituary for Mrs. Linda (Lapone) Leogrande NEW HARTFORD/PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – Mrs. Linda (Lapone) Leogrande, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at her Florida residence. Linda was born on March 6, 1944 in Long Beach, California. She was predeceased by her mother, Marie (Goodwin) Lapone and Adam Lapone.

She was a graduate of Little Falls High School and Ryder University. On June 28, 1974 she married Louis “Lou” Leogrande, Jr. with whom she shared 44 years. Linda and Lou were loving partners who enriched and enjoyed each other’s life.

Linda was a kind, generous, and thoughtful woman. Her contagious laugh and smile lit up any room. Linda was beautiful inside and out, always putting everyone before herself.

She loved her family immensely and was so very proud of them. Everyone who knew or loved Linda felt blessed to have her in their lives. She was a gift from God: an incredible Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

She will truly be missed and will forever remain in our hearts. Linda was also very active in charitable organizations. After her youngest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 11, Linda became a dedicated volunteer with the American Diabetes Association.

As a breast cancer survivor, she helped many other women affected by the disease and became a Board Member of the Central New York Susan G. Komen Foundation. She enjoyed the theatre and was a longtime active member of the Broadway Theatre League of Utica. Linda can be characterized as a woman who applied herself to her tasks and missions in life with enthusiasm, intelligence, and vigor.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Lou; daughters, Rosemarie and husband Kenny Tanner of North Palm Beach, Florida, and Belinda Girmonde of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and her three adored grandsons, Patrick, Thomas, and KC who she loved dearly. She also leaves her sister, Marie Ng and husband Peter of Monticello, NY and their children Christopher and Anthony; and her brother, David Lapone; as well as many beloved and loyal friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10:00-12:00 noon at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.

Linda’s memorial service and Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Bunger officiating. Immediately following the memorial service, burial will take place in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery (1500 Champlin Ave, Yorkville) for those who wish to attend.
