Obituary for Lloyd Kramer Lloyd E. Kramer, 101, formerly of Rote, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at Eagle Ridge Personal Care Home, Mill Hall. Born on December 14, 1916 in Nittany, he was the son of the late Boyd Yearick and Mae Kramer Gates. He was married to the former Thelma Bower who preceded him in death.

In his early years, Lloyd was a school bus driver. He then worked as a dairy farmer. Lloyd also worked in construction, having part in constructing the Lock Haven Sewage Plant, Williamsport High School and Belle Springs Restaurant among other projects.

He was a member of the Rote Church of Christ where among others, he was a speaker. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking as well as writing poetry. He was musically inclined, playing many instruments by ear and still playing the harmonica.

Surviving are three children: Clair “Bud” (Ellen) Kramer, Sr. of Mill Hall, Cindy (Larry) Rhine of Mill Hall, and Michael (Darlene) Kramer of Guyton, Ga. ; a sister, Sylvia Weed of Ohio; a son-in-law, Richard Ferree of Lock Haven; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kramer of Mill Hall; many grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two children, Don L. Kramer and Darla Ferree; and eight siblings, Wilbur, Charles “Buck”, Jay, Max, William, Betty Barlow, Evelyn Barner and Violet Walizer.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.
