He was born in Eckerman on July 21, 1928 to Elmer and Catherine Roach. He was one of thirteen children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Catherine, his youngest daughter, Dorette, and many siblings. He is survived by his children, Carol (Alex) Johnson of Strongs, Jeannine Leazenby of Paradise, Russell Roach of Hawkins, Dean Roach of Strongs, and Lisa Roach of Strongs. He is also survived by a sister, June Fraley, of Marquette, and a brother Gerald “Frank” Roach of Eckerman, and many nieces and nephews.

Bosco had eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1952 and served in Korea until his honorary discharge in 1954. He received many medals and commendations for his service.

Bosco worked as a woodsman for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, trapping, and hunting with his sons and grandsons.

He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a great storyteller and entertained them with “true” stories of his life. Bosco was a wonderful dad and grandpa.

He was loved by his family and will be missed every day. Per his wishes, there will be a private family memorial in the spring. Arrangements by the Beaulieu Funeral Home of Newberry, Michigan.
