Obituary for Lloyd Dollar Lloyd Joseph Dollar (Spud) died peacefully in his home in Sweetwater Texas on October 5, 2018 He was born June 18, 1937 in Tucson Arizona. The Son of Joe and Ellen Dollar. He graduated from Roswell High School, Class of 1955.

During his time in School he was a Golden Glove Boxer. Following graduation, he served in the New Mexico Guard. During his life he was a Fireman, worked for Hobart, Pepsi Cola and Network Plumbing.

In 1986 he met his true love Jennifer (Ginger) Benner and they married and had 27 years of married bliss. They settled in Merkel, Texas He was Dad to many but grandpa to everyone. He was a kind soul that loved everyone.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jennifer (Ginger) Benner Dollar; son Timothy Lee Cummings; brothers Earl and Frank Dollar; sister Mary Stella Cox and parents Joe and Ellen Dollar. He is survived by his daughter Penny and husband Joe Polak of Dexter NM, daughter Linda Dollar and husband Daniel Candelaria of Ruidoso Downs NM, son Lloyd and wife Kerry Dollar of Roswell NM, daughter Tamara and husband James Davis of Sweetwater TX, son Daniel and wife Dana Cummings of North Charleston SC, daughter Elizabeth and husband Jeff Putnam of Loraine TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Tommy Dollar, Rusty Bisco, Michael Bisco, Michelle Garcia, Kimberly Gonzales, Jarod Candelaria, Garret Dollar, Justin Dollar, William Hernandez Davis, Jp Davis, Camaron Isley, Timothy Cummings, Daniel Cummings, Xavier Riggs, Jeffrey Putnam, Abbi Putnam, Gabe Putnam, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, numerous nephews and nieces, and many adopted grandchildren and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Starbuck Funeral Home in Merkel, Texas. A reception will follow at The Starbuck Funeral Home Reception Hall. To send flowers to the family of Lloyd Dollar, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
