Lois J. Starling, 87, of Burbank, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster. Friends may call Tuesday, June 12, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny McComas officiating.

Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd. Wooster, OH 44691. Lois was born January 20, 1931 in Doylestown to Ford and Gertrude {Petit} Lindeman.

She graduated from Doylestown High School in 1949. She married Benjamin Starling on April 29, 1951. He died in 1993.

Lois worked at the Gruder Foundation in New Pittsburg and then retired from Rubbermaid. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman. She was also a member of Post #499 of the American Legion in West Salem.

Lois loved playing bingo, working at West Salem Messenger, volunteering with the bloodmobile, playing cards, and shopping the flea markets. Lois will be deeply missed by sons Ben (Karen Johnson) of Wooster, and Joe (Michelle) Starling of Burbank; grandchildren Jennifer, Will, Norman, Jessie, Whitney, Chad and Charity; great-grandchildren Cody, Taylor, Emmet, Zella, Benjamin “Sparky”, Ava and Chloe. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, sons William “Bill” and Brian “Slim” Starling, daughter Cindy Bowman, and sister Betty Lindeman.
