Obituary for Lois Kirkham Wells Lois Kirkham Wells age 100, a native of Marengo County, died April 14, 2018 in Linden, AL. She was a resident of Marengo Nursing Home. Lois was born November 28, 1917 in Sweet Water, AL to her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Martha Ann Vice Kirkham.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Thomas Lee Wells, sisters, Beatrice Bouler, Katie Norris, Essie Lewis, Inez Tucker, Bernice Kirkham, Mary Tucker, and brothers, Leo Kirkham, James Kirkham, and Benjamin (Peter) Kirkham. Lois graduated from Sweet Water High School in 1936. She was employed by Tutt Lumber Company for several years, then moved to Walnut Grove, AL.

, where she managed the family business and was very active in her church, Full Gospel Tabernacle. She lived in Walnut Grove until 2006 when she moved to Marengo Nursing Home. The family thanks the staff of Marengo Nursing Home for especially good care over the almost 12 years Lois was a resident, and also Southern Care Hospice Staff.

Graveside services will be held at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 am on April 17, 2018 with Dr. Bo Brantley officiating. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden, AL.
