Lois Pauline Bruss entered Heaven on Sunday April 8, 2018. Forever young, she was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Paul and Sophia (nee Zarling) Born. She was united in marriage to Elroy Bruss on August 27th, 1949, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Steven of Milwaukee, Mark (Heather) of Mequon and Ellen (Mark Falcone) of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Stephanie Bruss, Jonathan Bruss, Sonya Falcone, Luke Falcone; siblings: James Born, John (Mary Beth) Born, Carol Cobus,… Read More » Grace Krewson and Leah (John) Wiedenfeld; sister-in-law: Anita Bock, along with other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11:00 AM on May 19th at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Private interment Immanuel Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at a reception to be held in the church hall following the service. Lois was a past president of the Cedarburg Jr Woman’s Club, The Cedarburg Woman’s Club, and the Cedarburg Friends of the Library. An active volunteer, she served on the Cedarburg Community Scholarship Board, AFS, Milwaukee Symphony League Board member for 10 years, Cedarburg High School Advisory Committee and the Ozaukee Art Center.

She also organized a bus to the Symphony’s Prelude Service for over 30 years. Lois enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid consumer of books, music, scrabble and crossword puzzles. Memorials to: Cedarburg Community Scholarship Fund/Lois Bruss Endowment, Cedarburg Cultural Center, Cedarburg Library, or the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, appreciated.
