Obituary of Lois Stewart Star – Lois Mae Dunn Stewart, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Montgomery Village Assisted Living in Star. Mrs. Stewart was born in Montgomery County on February 2, 1925 to George D and Dora Ellen Allen Dunn. She was a member of Star Presbyterian Church and worked at Pine Hosiery Mill until she was 75 years old.

She was known for her delicious pineapple cakes, love of bluegrass music, fishing at the coast, and cooking Sunday dinners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Stewart; brothers, Lloyd and Ralph Dunn; and sister, Clara Belle Lassiter. She is survived by her son, John B. Stewart and wife, Carol; granddaughter, Cynthia Martin and husband, Hugh, and their sons, Carson, Eli, and Daniel Martin; grandson, John B. Stewart, II and wife, Stephanie, and their daughters, Katy Stewart and Stacey Taylor and husband, Jonathan; their son, Chris Savage and wife, Kristina, and their children, Reed and Lacey.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, at Star Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cotton Creek Road, Star with Rev. Kim Stamey officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Star Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
