Obituary for Lora Annabelle Smith Lora Annabelle Smith, 87, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:02 a.m. at her home surrounded by family. She was born February 22, 1931 in Chesterfield, Missouri to the late Grover Cleveland and Ida Annabelle (Davis) Mobley. Lora and Josephus L. Smith were married June 13, 1946 in Jackson, Missouri.

He preceded her in death February 15, 1994. She worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory over 30 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Northside Gospel Assembly for over 50 years where she played the piano for many years.

She loved music, enjoyed cooking large family meals every weekend. She loved doing for her family and friends and she never met a stranger. Loving survivors include sons, Joel (Rhonda Brown) Smith and David (Vicki) Smith, all of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Sharon Moore (deceased son-in-law, Jimmy Moore) of Paducah, Kentucky, Mary Jane (Ronald) Huckabee of Cape Girardeau, Marshia (Jerry) Mouser of Paducah, Kentucky and Nancy (Jeff) Dalton of Scott City, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers and eight sisters. Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northside Gospel Assembly with Rev. ’s Winfred Wren, Encil Edmonds, Bobby Mouser officiating and grandson, Michael Mouser speaking. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Northside Gospel Assembly, 2403 Boutin Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
