Loretta’s Obituary Loretta M. (Gavin) Drummy, 78 of Norwell and formerly of South Boston, passed away on December 26, 2018. Born in Boston on June 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ella (Hood) Gavin. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, arts and crafts.

She also loved traveling, especially to Ireland. Most of all, Loretta loved spending time with her family, especially watching her 3 grand babies grow up. Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas A. Drummy, Jr. Devoted mother of David Drummy and his wife Deborah of Hanover.

Cherished Grammy of Jillian, Nicholas and Caroline. Dear sister of Ella Terry, Kathleen Pittore, Elizabeth Castagna, and the late Frederick Gavin and Adele Donovan. Dear friend of Patricia “Pat” Curtain of Norwell, who was a true comfort to Loretta.

Loretta is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many family members of her second home in her beloved Ireland. Visiting hours omitted. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5th at 10 AM in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington St, Rte 53 in Norwell.

Mr. and Mrs. Drummy will be brought to their final resting place in Ireland. In lieu of flowers, donations in Loretta’s memory can be made to NVNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr, Norwell, MA 02061.
