Lorna’s Obituary Mrs. Lorna Rose Dedeaux Daniels 84, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, transitioned from her earthly life on Saturday morning, January 5, 2019. Lorna Rose, as she was so affectionately called was born in Delisle, Mississippi on March 26, 1934. She attended and graduated from St. Philomena Catholic.

She was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and a devout Catholic, praying the Rosary constantly throughout the day. Lorna Rose, a lifelong resident of Pass Christian was an amazing cook and caretaker. She loved her family and family gatherings.

Lorna Rose hardly ever missed a gathering. She was very proud of her large family, as one of the oldest direct descendants of Daniel and Elizabeth Lizana, she has never missed a family reunion. How fitting that she would transition to Heaven during the Epiphany Season, she loved Mardi Gras.

She loved family King Cake Parties and everyone knew that for the “Pass” parade you could come by for some amazing food, fun and festivities on Davis Avenue. Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Stanley Dedeaux. She was the eldest of their eleven children.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, Elton Daniels, Bradford Daniels, Harvey Daniels and Richard Daniels; one Grandson, Eldon Daniels; three sisters, Edith Joyce Cook, Madeline Lias and Betty Ann Dedeaux; two brothers, Lionel Dedeaux and Ausker Dedeaux, Sr.; two sister-n-laws, Marilyn Dedeaux and Bernice Daniels; and five brother-n-law’s David Gregg, Howard Hightower, Freddie Cook, Roger Daniels, Sr. and Audrey Daniels; her in-laws, Virgie and Nathienal Williams and Olivia and Junius Daniels. Lorna Rose leaves to cherish her loving memories to her spouse of sixty-seven years, Harold Thomas Daniels, Pass Christian, MS; brothers Kevin (Pamela) Dedeaux, Denver, CO and Terry (Verna) Dedeaux, Pass Christian, MS; sisters Barbara Nell Gregg, Denver, CO, Maion (Cornelius) Barnett, Madison, AL; sister-n- laws Lillian Dedeaux, Pass Christian, MS, Virgin Powell, New Orleans, LA and Verdie Daniels, Oklahoma City, OK; six children, Sandra (John) Singleton, Roseta Devon Daniels, Franchelle (Ricardo) Brown, all of Pass Christian, MS, Vaughn (Pamela) Daniels, New Orleans, LA, Derrick (Julie) Daniels and Garland (Danielle) Daniels both of Bay St. Louis, MS. She also leaves behind 22 Grand-Children, 31 Great-Grand Children and 11 Great-Great Grand Children, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
