Lorretta O. Towney (Kirkirt), 78, of Jackson, NJ, formerly of Laurence Harbor, NJ passed away Saturday September 8, 2018 at home. She was predeceased by her parents John Kirkirt and Emilie (Egum) Kirkirt, her beloved husband William A. Towney, brothers John, Richard, and Ivert Kirkirt and a sister Joan Fideli . Lorretta was born in Bronx, New York and later moved to Laurence Harbor where she resided for many years before moving to Jackson.

She was a very loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was never selfish and always gave of herself to those who were in need. She is survived by her beloved children Karen Navarro of Jackson, sons William Towney of Matawan, Daniel Towney of Paterson, and Michael Towney and his wife Teri of Aberdeen. Loretta also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren Christian, Mark, and Jason Navarro, and William, Edward and Emily Towney; and two great grandchildren Edward and William Towney.

A visitation will be held for Loretta on Tuesday September 11, 2018 from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. Cremation will be private. Loretta’s Ashes will later be privately interred with her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery of Wrightstown.
