Obituary for Louis James Ethridge Louis James Ethridge, 52, of Haines City passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 in Lumberton, TX. He was born January 30, 1966 in Kissimmee, FL to Gerald Ethridge and Patricia (Johnson) Jordan. Louis moved to Texas 12 years ago, he worked for himself selling carpet cleaner products among other things like fireworks and he was of the Baptist faith.

Louis loved his 7 year old son, C.J. dearly. He called him ‘his big boy’ and they were partners for life. C.J. was his everything and he treasured his time with his son, teaching and helping him as much as he could.

His son is blessed with many warm memories of fishing with Dad, traveling and going to all kinds of events, especially festivals. He also loved to cook crawfish. Louis was predeceased by his father Gerald Ethridge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Carin Ethridge; son C.J. Ethridge; brother, Lamar Ethridge of TX; sister Chari Willis and husband, Mark of FL, four uncles; four aunts; four nieces; four nephews; and a host of devoted friends. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL.
