Funeral services for Alice Lucille Underwood, 91, of Gilmer, will held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Lucille was born April 3, 1927, to Ira Hinson and Ruby Elizabeth Smith Hinson, in Rusk, Texas, and passed from this life March 9, 2019, in Gilmer, Texas. She married Eugene Underwood and he preceded her in death.

Lucille moved to Gilmer in 1952 and worked for many years as a real estate agent. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cathey Hall; sons, Mark Underwood and Jim Underwood; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Underwood; her parents; and six brothers. Donations may be made to the Historic Upshur Museum, 119 Simpson St., Gilmer, Tx, 75644 in memory of Lucille Underwood. Please visit Lucille’s on-line registration book at www.
