Obituary for Lucy Elizabeth Frakes Lucy Elizabeth Frakes of Bismarck, Missouri passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 29 days. She was born September 29, 1932 in Bismarck to the late Robert E Lee Dennis and Mary Ann Martin Dennis. On May 28, 1949 she was united in marriage to Charles Frakes who preceded her in death on July 31, 2016.

To this union two children were born; David (Pam) Frakes of Bismarck, Mary Lou (Vernon) Asher of Caledonia, both who survive. Also surviving Lucy are two brothers; Michael (Connie) Dennis of Festus, Danny Paul (Irma) Dennis of Arcadia, three sisters; Joann (Chuck) Williams of Decatur, Alabama, Nina Buckley of Loxley, Alabama, Barbara (Bill) Todd of Imperial, five grandchildren; Martha, Henry, Katherine, Susan, Allen, two great-grandchildren; Kiya and Abby, a special niece Evelyn Keay, Baby the mean cat, and many other family members and friends. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles, six brothers; Harold Dennis, James Dennis, Charles Dennis, Donald Dennis, David Dennis, and Carl Dennis, four sisters; Violet Dennis, Lucille Rawson, Carol Dennis, a baby sister in infancy, and a great-grandchild, Calbert.

Lucy attended Bismarck Schools as a child and later went on to work for several years in the Brown Shoe Factory in Potosi. She loved to crochet, do needlepoint work, she enjoyed working in her garden, and she was an avid animal lover. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Cole Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Internment will follow the services in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. Minister Carol Brown will be officiating the services.
