Luella E. Christy, age 81, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 5:53am in her home in Upper Sandusky. Luella was born on July 9, 1937 in Hickory Grove, West Virginia to Russell and Francis (Stover) Long, both of whom are deceased. She married Lester “Lee” Christy on September 23, 1956 in Delaware, Ohio, and he passed away on March 10, 2015.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Angles of Upper Sandusky, and a son, Dave Christy, along with 5 grandchildren: Melissa Christy, Christie Sons, Todd Angles, Kara Orians, and Kendra Christy and 10 great grandchildren. Luella is also survived by 2 sisters, Judy Johnson and Trudy (Jeff) Cummins, both of Delaware, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son in law, Ted Angles, and 2 brothers, Mathew and Russell, and a sister, Ruby Long.

Luella was a homemaker and enjoyed doing oil painting and wood crafts along with vegetable and flower gardening. Funeral services for Luella E. Christy will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave.
