OBITUARY Luis Borges Souza September 14, 1943 – October 14, 2018 Luis B. Souza, age 75, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria F. (Paixao) Sousa. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Maria (Borges) Sousa.

An avid soccer fan, he was a supporter of Sporting FC. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He was the father of the late Valerie C. Verissimo and father-in-law of the late John Verissimo.

He is survived by one son, Luis C. Sousa and his wife Stacy of Somerset; one daughter, Miriam F. De Sousa and her husband David of N. Dighton; six grandchildren, Taisha, Cameron, Maya, Noah, Ella and Gwen and one great granddaughter, Gabriella. His Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd. , Swansea, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00AM in St. Louis De France Parish, 56 Buffington St., Swansea.

Visiting hours, Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
