Obituary Lyle O. Lester, 92, of Rockford passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born January 7, 1927, in Smithville, Oklahoma, the son of John Henry and Emmie (Burgess) Lester. Lyle was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army during World War II.

Lyle married Catherine Mullens on October 25, 1952. Lyle worked in the foundry at Greenlee Textron, retiring after 25 years. Lyle was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.
