Funeral service for Madeline Byrd Penn, 80, of Somerville, will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Peebles officiating. Burial will be at Mt.

Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Penn died January 26, 2019 at her residence.

She was born March 8, 1938 in Morgan County to Wesley Fletcher Byrd and Iva Lou Black Byrd. Mrs. Penn previously work in database management for the Department of the Army. Mrs. Penn was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Fred Eugene Peebles, Jr.; two daughters, Teresa Peebles and Terry Ann Peebles; three brothers, Richard Byrd, Wallace Byrd and Frank Byrd; and two sisters, Lucille Parker and Lillian Ricks.

Survivors include: Husband: William Penn Two Sons: Larry Penn (Susan) Raymond Dale Peebles One Brother: Fletcher Byrd (Nancy) One Sister: Edith Summerford And a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
