Bluefield, WV-Marceline Angie Morgan Maynor, daughter of Clyde and Essie Perry Morgan, decided on Saturday, January 26, 2019, that she was ready to ‘move-on’, to go to a place where there was no pain and she could once again be re-united with her parents, husband, brothers, sisters, and daughter. She fought the good fight for three years, and as always, she decided when it was time to depart from this earthly place. She was affectionately known as Mother, Nana, and Marcy.

She will be remembered as a strong-willed, independent, courageous woman, who was always able to ‘colorfully’ express her wishes to the very end. She endured a lot during her almost 92 years on this earth. She was certain she was not yet in her 90’s because she was NOT finished with her 80’s.

Way to go MOTHER ! ! Marceline was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Essie, her husband of fifty-one years, Naymon, sisters; Marie Morgan, Gladys Hatfield, Maxine Maynor, and Susan Lester, brothers; Jimmy Morgan, David Morgan, daughter Barbara Ingrid Cline, and beloved son-in-law Jack Pushkin.

Marceline is survived by daughters Charlotte Scott (Larry) of Bluefield, VA, Pamela Pushkin of Charleston, WV, Tammy Case (Dave) of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Grandchildren, Michael Scott (Teresa) of Bluefield WV, Traci Chapman (Anthony) of Montpelier, VA, Joshua Pushkin of New York, NY, Leah Pushkin Bess (Bobby) of Morgantown, WV, and Dylan Shannon of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Two great grandchildren, Noah Jackson Chapman and Jack Naymon Bess.

She is also survived by one sister, Sharon Lester (Roger) of Coal Mountain, WV as well as several nieces and nephews. As per Marceline’s wishes there will be a graveside service for family and friends at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny, WV on Friday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. The family will gather later in the afternoon for a celebration of Marceline’s life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your favorite charity or to The Alzheimer’s Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.

The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff at Westwood Nursing Home. They cared for ‘Marcy’, loved her, laughed with her, and cried for her. The family thanks you!

Go rest high on that mountain, Mother. You deserve the rest, you have indeed earned your wings. You have left behind a grateful family who will always treasure your love in their hearts forever .
