Obituary for Margaret Helen Walters “Mame” Pryor Margaret Helen Walters Pryor “Mame”, went to be home with the Lord and her beloved husband, Teddy Pryor on April 7, 2018, at 2:15 PM. She and Teddy owned and operated Pryor Grocery Store and Restaurant for many years. In her later years she provided childcare for Casey, Sweet Pea, Justin, and Rachel Luci- Anne.
She was a gift to all and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Margaret and Teddy in their early years attended Mt. Zion General Baptist Church in Reed, KY.
After moving to Henderson, they attended First Church of the Nazarene and in her later years she was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church until her health began to fail. Margaret was born on June 23, 1923, in Henderson, Ky to the late Jack and Lorene Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Teddy” Anson Pryor, brothers; Bernard, Robert, Leroy, Paul, Tom, and sisters; Carrie and Dorothy and great grandchild, Kynlie Sands.
Survivors include: 6 Sisters: Shirley, Janice, Bettye, Daphne, Ruth, and Rebecca 3 Children: Jackie Pryor (Joann), Larry Pryor, and Martha Helen Lacer (Alfred) all of Henderson, KY 8 Grandchildren: Tamara (Johnny), Starla (Jason), Rachel, Benson (Olivia), Denise (Jason), Beth (Brandon), Jackie and Lisa Pryor 15 Great -Grandchildren: Tristan and Trace, Blayne, Greyson, Isaac, Ella, Elliott, Miles, Isabelle, Kaylee, Kylie, Josh, Krista, Daniel, and Jordan 2 Great Great-Grandchiildren: Averie and Allie Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret’s Life Celebration from 3:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday and again on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend J.W. Haire and Brother Jerry Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Pallbearers will be Johnny Denton, Trace Denton, Tristan Denton, Benson Pryor, Blayne Sands, and Brandon Watkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Fulkerson and Bruce Todd.
