Margaret Lucille “Lucy” (Holder) McConaghie, age 67, of Carlisle, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1951 in Fredericksburg, VA to the late James B. and Eva Margaret (Fant) Holder and was the widow of Robert J. McConaghie, M.D. Lucy was a graduate of Carlisle High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Penn State University, Middletown. Lucy was an investigator at the St. Augustine, FL Medical Examiners Office. She was a radio announcer for WMSP, Harrisburg; WFEC, Harrisburg; WCMB, Harrisburg; WQXA, York; WHP, Harrisburg; and WHYL, Carlisle. Lucy enjoyed swimming, collecting shells on the beach, winning Monopoly and volunteering at the Carlisle Hospital.

Margaret is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. McConaghie of Palasade, CO; two grandchildren, Caleb M. Finnegan, and Zoe McConaghie of Carlisle; one brother, James C. (wife Cheryl) Holder of Enola; three sisters, Elizabeth A. (Holder) Finnegan of Carlisle, Barbara (Holder) Busterna of Bradenton, FL, and Patricia (Holder) Suchocki and husband William of Mechanicsburg; and seven nieces and nephews. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
