Margie’s Obituary The 1930s, a time period that marked the Great Depression, birth of swing jazz, and roaring popularity of radio entertainment and a time when a true star was born in the small town of Lugoff, South Carolina. Margie Jackson Sterner came into our world September 30,1934 and will always be a bright light in the hearts of her husband of 64 years, son, daughter, and 5 grandchildren. An avid reader and Willie Nelson super fan, Margie enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with her treasured family and friends, shopping, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.

Her endless energy paired with a clever sense of humor, and a touch of sass always set her apart. Our star became an angel on February 1, 2019. Margie’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Dallas Forth Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.

Preceded in death by her parents, Kitty Ray and George Jackson and beloved brother Jimmie Jackson Sr. and his wife Ruth. Margie is survived by her loving husband, Ray Sterner, her son, Steve Sterner and his wife Donna, and her daughter, Karen Lillie and her husband Matt. Her adored grandchildren include Sarah Sterner and her fiancé Steven Burdeaux, Joseph Sterner and his wife Melisa, Claire Hasley and her husband Bryan, Chloe Lillie, and Collin Lillie.

She is also survived by her niece, Cindy Louderbough, and nephew, Jimmie Jackson Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
