Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden at 9:15 AM. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph the Carpenter Roman Catholic Church, Roselle, at 10 AM.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Visiting hours are on Friday, January 11th from 5 to 9 PM. Dette was born in Gonaives, Haiti, came to the U.S. in 1963, settling in NY NY, and has resided in Roselle, NJ the past 55 years.

She was employed by Najla Clothing Company in NY NY as a seamstress for 20 years retiring in 1982. Dette enjoyed embroidery and crochet. Dette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Simon Guibert Emmanuel in 1993, and 2 sisters, Minoche Pierre, and Marcelle Charles.

Surviving are her 7 loving children, Wesner Joseph Emmanuel, Suzel Apollon, Pierre Robert Emmanuel, Junie Emmanuel, Lys Emmanuel, Therese Emmanuel, and Charles G. Emmanuel, 15 cherished grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, her sister, Agathe Michel, and many nieces and nephews.
