Maria’s Obituary Maria Socorro De La Garza age 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday May 22, 2019 at her daughters residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Mercedes, TX December 22, 1934. Maria was a dedicated lifetime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness, she loved spreading the Good News door to door, always reminding people of the great paradise.

She also enjoyed gardening and shopping. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Francisco De La Garza, children, Yolis De La Garza, Rudy De La Garza (Esther), Marina De La Garza, Olivia Martinez (Joe), Louie Elul De La Garza (Melissa), and Vicky De La Garza (Alejandro Martinez); 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, several brothers, sisters, numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Maria is preceded in death by three sons, Vicente De La Garza, Leonel De La Garza and Rogelio De La Garza. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 25, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with at Talk at 7:00 pm in the evening. As per Maria’s wishes her body will be cremated and all services will conclude at the funeral home Saturday night.
