She was the daughter of Leopoldo Aviles and Agustina Aviles. The last of 18 siblings.

Her ancestors came from Spain to settle in Nicaragua. She came from a family of ancestry and lineage. Married to diplomatic and infantry major Mr. Alberto Gutierrez Flores.

Mother of four children: Alvaro Gutierrez Aviles, Alberto Gutierrez Aviles, Leopoldo Gutierrez Aviles and Agustina Gutierrez Aviles. She was a self -sacrificing mother who worked very hard to raise her children. She was an excellent seamstress.

She designed beautiful wedding dresses. In 1979, she left her country to Costa Rica as a political exile. Then in 1994, she traveled to New Jersey, U.S. to permanently reside.

She lived here for 25 years. She passed away at the age of 95 on January 16, 2019. “ Thought” A tear evaporates, a flower on my tomb wilts, but God receives my soul’s prayer.

Do not cry my beloved ones. I’m going to unite with God, and I wait for you in heaven. I die, but my love does not die, and I will love you in heaven as I have loved you on earth.

To everyone who loved me I ask that you pray for me, which is the greatest proof of affection.
