OBITUARY Marie Owens October 2, 1921 – July 18, 2018 Marie Delores Owens, 96 of Boiling Spring Lakes, passed away on July 18, 2018. Mrs. Owens was born October 2, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Raymond and Katherine Barto. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Owens; and two sons, William Owens and Thomas J. Owens.

Survivors include her three grandchildren, Debbie Reynolds – Fioravante and husband Gene of Boiling Spring Lakes, Thomas J. Owens, Jr. of New York, and Misty Marie Artz of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Jason Carroll of Pennsylvania, Chelsea Rose Owens of Arizona, Rachael Marie Artz, and Michael Artz, both of Florida; a nephew Billy Weldon and wife Kathy of Pennsylvania; and her grand-puppy Lucy. There will be a time of gathering and remembrance from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home at 218 N. Shore Drive, Boiling Spring Lakes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amedisys Hospice Foundation, 1729 Southport – Supply Road, Bolivia, NC 28422 or to the Brunswick Senior Rerdzt/ Center, Meals on Wheels, PO Box 2470, Shallotte, NC 28459.
