Marilyn M. A funeral procession will form Tuesday 9 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.

Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Marilyn M. Koenig, 87, of Fairview Avenue died at home on Tuesday January 15, 2019 with her loving sons by her side. Born January 13, 1932 in Kingston, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Volynski) Brophy.

Marilyn was the vice president of the Koenig Insurance Agency in Kingston. Prior to that she was employed as a manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance. A parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and an adorner of the Devine Mercy Perpetual Adoration Chapel.

Marilyn also volunteered with the Benedictine Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. Surviving are her sons, Christopher F. Koenig and his wife Jill and Patrick T. Koenig and his wife Lisa; her granddaughters, Alexandra, Jessica and Alyssa. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Marilyn’s husband, Francis R. Koenig, former Mayor of Kingston died June 20, 2001. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Devine Mercy Perpetual Adoration Chapel of Ulster County, 469 Delaware Avenue Kingston, New York 12401.
