Obituary for Mario Augustine Del Toro Mario Augustine Del Toro July 29, 1978 – April 12, 2018 The Angels gathered on April 12th at 10:20 AM to lovingly carry Mario’s soul to heaven to watch over all of us that he loves so much. He passed away peacefully at the ICU unit at Kaiser in Vallejo after fighting for 10 days to recover from streptococcus sepsis. Mario was an exceptionally talented barber with many regular clients.

He had many other natural God-given talents. Mario was also a self-taught artist, drummer, guitarist and he loved to skateboard and snowboard. Mario had a gentle, sensitive, kind, free-spirited heart with so much insight into life; being happy and helping others.

He had countless friends and was loved deeply by all who knew him. Mario loved being with his two beautiful daughters most of all. Their adventures included going to the beach and the playground, go-karting, and even cooking dinner together.

Mario’s family will all miss him dearly. He leaves daughters Arianna and Claudia Del Toro; step-daughter Alexandra Watkins; wife Susie Serafin; mother Beverly Rush; father Raymond Del Toro; brothers Eric Del Toro, Paul Scott, George Hernandez III; sisters Melissa Hernandez and Kiara (Scott) Korrell; step-father George Hernandez Jr., grandfather George Hernandez Sr., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and very close friends. If you knew Mario, you loved him.

He made a deep impression on everyone he met and will never ever be forgotten. There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, April 19th 11:00 AM at Twin Chapels, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo, CA. An educational fund has been set up in the names of Mario’s daughters; contact Beverly Rush at bevierush@gmail.com for information.
