Marjorie D. Mellum, 88, of Avoca, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Schmitt Woodland Hills after a short illness. She was born on February 25, 1930 the daughter of Adolf and Cora Sailing. Marjorie married Marvin Mellum and together they raised four children.

Marjorie is survived by two children: Lee Mellum and Jane Mellum (Mike Maly); two grandchildren: Tammy (Jeff) Grassman and Teri (Curt) Ostrander; five great grandchildren: Jared and Nicholas Grassman, Tyler (Emily), Melanie, and Megan… Read More » Ostrander; great great granddaughter Maci Ostrander, special nephew Dan Sharpee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, daughters Judy Lynch, Linda Mellum, brothers Kenneth, Earl, Laverne, sister Catherine. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 13, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial to follow in the Avoca Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
