Marjorie’s Obituary MILFORD — Marjorie E. Gallup, 96, of South Glens Falls, NY (and briefly of Hudson, MA and Milford, MA) passed away peacefully Monday, December 24, 2018 at Milford Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. This Christmas Eve, she was reunited with the love of her life, her husband Ernie. Born June 1, 1922 in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of Zeno and Ella Kenyon.

On December 29, 1939 she married Ernest Gallup in Warrensburg, NY. Together they had three children, Raymond, Darla, and Richard. They were married for 67 happy years before her beloved Ernie passed away in 2007.

Saturday, December 29th would have been their 79th wedding anniversary. Marjorie went to school in Warrensburg and was a homemaker and the matriarch of the Gallup family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games, doing puzzles, cooking, and spending time at the family’s camp on the Great Sacandaga Lake, which she and Ernie built in 1954.

It was a treasure the entire extended family enjoyed every summer. In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was predeceased by her firstborn son, Raymond, and her daughter-in-law, Janet (Morgan) Gallup. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Darla Barcomb and Richard (Wendy) Gallup; grandchildren, Tammy (Rennie) Gagnon, Bradley (Cindy) Gallup, Robert (Donna) Gallup, Bonnie Gallup, David Barcomb, Christie (Michael) Barros, and Stephanie Gallup; sisters- and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will take place Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the spring at Warrensburg Cemetery, Warrensburg, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the Blaire House Assisted Living of Milford, MA. In her short time there, she received respectful, kind care. We would especially like to thank Glory for her friendship, Digna, Candy, and Travis.
