Marjorie’s Obituary Marjorie “Marge” Rose Stewart, age 82 of Gresham, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019. Marge was born, raised and married to her “Main Squeeze”, Bill, in Chicago, IL. She moved to Woodridge, Illinois in 1977, and then to Wisconsin when Bill retired in 1995.
She was always there for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE! ! She loved her family to pieces and her door was always open to “EVERYONE”.
She would say “The more the merrier”. When you walked in the door she would say, “Hi, how are you? Are you HUNGRY?
”, and then came the spread. She would put on a smorgasbord, even if you were not hungry. She would say “If you leave hungry, that’s your fault”.
Marge will be remembered by her family and friends for her many quirks, SUCH AS: Always saying: No news is good news, Betsy Boo, Whatchamacallit, Hoseymajigger, ThingamaBOB, Putting her face on and more… She usually finished every sentence or word with an, “ISH” at the end. She had a LEAD FOOT, swear jar, and as our family calls it “A Smartass attitude”! Now you know where the rest of us get it.
Marge was of Polish descent and owned it; duck blood soup, blood tongue, kolasches, wearing a Babushka and she always wore “floods” and liked it that way. Everything she did or said was the Polish way! A few of her favorite things were: family, traveling, cooking, baking, musicals, quilting, crocheting, boat rides, Pow Wow’s, her rocking chair, country music, The TV show “Castle”, Dancing with the Stars, Kids Baking Championship, Perry Mason and of course gambling at the Casino!
She is survived by: her children DeAnne (Joe) Mason, Cheri (Drew) Stewart, Sally (Shawn) Stewart, and Vickie Anderson; her grandchildren Jennie (Michael), Sean, Katie (Matt), Donny (Amanda), Jessica (Samuel), Tiffany (Chad), Kimberly, Elizabeth (Cameron), Carlie, and Angelica; great-grandchildren Kira, Skylee, T.J., Ace, Morgan, Kevin, and Elliot; as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends. Marjorie is preceded in death by: her husband William; her parents; her daughter Mary Stewart; and her brother Don Rayfield. As for her final wish, Mom Grandma & Friend, we will not bury you with the bugs or sprinkle you in the water, so you do not drown.
You have gained your wings So Fly, Mom, Grandma and Friend, Go and fly with your Hummingbirds. You will be missed by many but remembered by ALL! The Celebration of Life will be at Angie’s Main Café on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. Flowers are welcome, a memorial fund has been set up for Marge and may be directed to the family.
