Doane, age 58, of Tonawanda, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at Gates Vascular Institute in Buffalo after a long illness. Born August 14, 1960 in Buffalo, he was the son of Jean and the late Gary Doane. Mark graduated from SUNY at Buffalo in 1988 and the University at Buffalo School of Law in 1991.

After graduation, he had worked as a litigation attorney for a number of Buffalo Law Firms and then became a Court Attorney/Referee in the Buffalo City Courts from 2001 until 2011. It was then that he became a practicing attorney in the City of Tonawanda, working along with his wife at the Doane Law Firm, P.C.. Mark was a member of Salem Church in Tonawanda, the Erie County Bar Association and the LaSalle Sportsmen’s Club.

He was involved in his community and had served on the City of Tonawanda Zoning Board of Appeals from 2002 until 2015. He was the beloved husband of Kim M. (nee Robinson) Doane; loving and proud father of Dylan R. Hayes, Adam D. Hayes, Kal S. Hayes, Charlotte J. Doane, and twin daughters, Jessica A. and Natalie Y. Doane; son of Jean (nee Horvath) Doane; and step-son of Janice (nee Theel) Doane. He was the step-brother of David (Leesa) D’Orazio, Scott (Dena) D’Orazio, Robert (Cheryl) Frey, Kim (Brian) Yohe, and Lisa (Gary) Eckis.

Also surviving are his aunt, Donna Doane, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues. Friends may call from 2-7 PM on Saturday and Sunday at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Monday at Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan Street, Tonawanda; the Rev.

Jeremy Lopez officiating. Friends invited. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Gates Vascular Institute for all of their care and support.
