McGuire, age 62, of Buffalo, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born March 5, 1956 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late George and Helen (nee Moran) McGuire. Before becoming ill, Thomas was a chef at The Village Restaurant in Kenmore.

He was an avid golfer, gardener and sports fan who followed all of the Buffalo teams. He was the father of Kristine (Jon) Strible of Amherst and Robert Wood of Buffalo; grandfather of Morgan, Maris and Theo; and brother of Brian (Ellen) McGuire of Lake View, and the late Kathleen P. Trotter, Kevin J. McGuire and Patrick H. McGuire. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Monday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael LaMarca officiating.
