Mark Alan Ash, Jr., 22, of Alexandria, was called home to the Lord on January 20, 2019. He was born on May 8, 1996 in Elwood, and resided most of his life in Alexandria. Mark graduated from Frankton High School in 2015.

He was a heavy equipment operator at Martin Marietta. He loved all types of sports which was shown with his participation with many in high school including: football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. When he wasn’t playing sports himself, he was always cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, but his pride and joy in life was spending time with his children.

Mark is survived by his loving father, Mark Alan Ash, Sr.; girlfriend, Ellie Jackson; sons, Liam Ash, Barrett Ash, and Mark Alan Ash, III. Also surviving is his mamaw, Lynda Ash; siblings, Timothy (Michele), Cassandra, Kelly (Sandra), Brandon, Tawni (Scott), Owen (Amber), Bobby, Zach (Jessie), and Katie; cousin, Taryn (Reis); aunt, Maryline Ash; uncle, Andrew Ash; best friends, Caleb Cleek, Mikey Orick, and Chris Kistler, and 23 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Toya Lynn Ash; grandfather, Dale Ash; uncle, Jamie Ash; and niece, Leila Ash.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN. Services will follow visitation at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Freeman officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
