Obituary for Barbara Marie Spangler Barbara Marie Spangler, 84, of Anderson, passed away on January 9, 2019 at the Community Hospital Anderson, IN. She was born on November 7, 1934 in Elwood, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Mary Ethel Hobbs. She was the most caring loving lady, that loved to work with her hands making furniture, jewelry, crafts and dolls for the grandchildren.

Her boys and grandchildren where her joy. Barbara enjoyed all the time spent with her sisters and brothers. She had a very deep appreciation of the men and women that have served our country.

Barbara is survived by her sons; Joe (Faye) Ellerman of Fountaintown, Mike (Sherri) Ellerman of Angola, Step-children; Shannon (Ivy) Spangler, Shawnie (Cliff) Sutton, Barbara Vickers, seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters; Mary Lou Brown, Ramona (Doug) Copeland, Peggy Badgley, Sandra Anderson, Connie (Mike) Thomas, brothers; Richard Hobbs, Terry Hobbs, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband; Ross A. Spangler, step-son; Dale Spangler, brothers; Larry Lee Hobbs, Glen Hobbs. Visitation will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will be Monday, January 14, 2019, 1:00 pm with Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in memory of Barbara to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
