Obituary for Margaret Smith Margaret Smith, 79, of Anderson, passed away January 5, 2019 at Countryside Manor Health Care. She was born on July 18, 1939 in Wise County, Virginia. She was a waitress and worked as a cashier, her last job being at Food Land in Park Place.

She was a member of VFW and D.A.V. Ladies Aux. , and was known as “The Flower Lady on Lincoln”. Margaret is survived by her sons, Steve Smith, Leslie Darrah, sisters, Shirley Sparks, Dorothy Hill; granddaughter, Joni Large, and several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Joann Gates and Brenda Lawson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Smith Jr. parents, Calvin and Georgia (Riner) Sparks; siblings, John Sparks, Claude Sparks, Earl Sparks, Edward Sparks and Edna Sosbe. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street Anderson, IN. Services will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Roysden officiating.
