Obituary for Mark R. Bejnar Mark R. Bejnar, age 50, of Bruce Township, passed away peacefully from this life into his heavenly home on January 1, 2019. Beloved and cherished husband of Shannon Marie (née Downey), married August 13, 2005. Loving and devoted father of Luke, Noah, Joel, and Ruby.

Dear son of Dick and Louise Bejnar. Adored brother of Paul Bejnar of Washington Township, Pam Bejnar of Sterling Heights, Lynn (Randy) Black of Gilbert, AZ, and Sharon (John) Heikka of Kalamazoo. Also survived by many loving aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mark was born in Detroit, MI and graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1992 with a degree in business education with a minor in Spanish language. He was the most kind hearted, joy filled, fun loving, thoughtful and understanding, focused, but easy going man whose absence in this world will be felt deeply by many! He was the fourth-generation owner of Bejnar’s Fine Furniture in Shelby Township, along with his wife, which recently celebrated its 100th year in business.

Mark’s wife, Shannon, along with an amazing staff, will now continue that tradition, leading the business into its next generation serving the community. Visitation Friday, January 4, 2 – 8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd.

, Utica (3 blks E. of Van Dyke). In-state Saturday, 10 a.m. until time of funeral service, 11 a.m., at Heritage Church, 44625 Schoenherr Rd, Sterling Heights. In lieu of flowers, a college fund for the Bejnar children will soon be established.
