Obituary for Marlena Galliart Marlena K. Galliart, 77 years, passed away July 12, 2018, in Hutchinson, KS. , with family by her side. She was born September 16, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Merlin and Florence (Krider) Morgan.

She moved to Garden City in the 1950’s. Marlena spent her life working in retail at Wal-Mart. She retired in 2014 after 30 years.

Marlena was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge. She loved visiting with people at the Kansas State Fair. Marlena also loved spending time with family camping and boating at the lake.

On December 29, 1976 she married Wilbur “Willie” Galliart in Garden City, KS. Marlena was preceded in death by her parents Merlin and Florence Morgan, one sister Linda Martinez, and daughters Vickie Turner and Rhonda Jones. She is survived by her husband Willie of the home, daughters Michelle (Matthew) Kinney , Shirrie Pickett all of Hutchinson, KS.

; sons Scott (Monica) Galliart of Kansas City, Todd Galliart of San Antonio, Texas, and Steve (Vicki) Galliart of Garden City, KS. ; brothers Mick (Marilyn) Morgan of Deerfield, KS. , and Dick (Diane) Morgan, of Kansas City; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 19, 2018 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. with family greeting from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, KS. Funeral Service will be held Friday July 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. Doug Olson officiating.

Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Encompass Home Health, in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
