Marlene LaVerne Moore, 79 of Slippery Rock, formerly of Cabot, passed away on January 25, 2019 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Born December 9, 1939 in Harrison Twp. , PA, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Stephen Nowikowski and Sophie Mary Szamborski.

Marlene retired as a secretary from Butler County Children and Youth Services. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed computers, crocheting, reading, and writing.

Surviving are her loving son, William (DeAnna Mckivigan) Blust, Jr., granddaughter, Savannah Blust, grandson, William Blust, III, and sisters, Sophia (the late Paul) Nowikowski Kish and Connie (Bill) Nowikowski Brinsko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Moore Friends will be received on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2-6 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev.

Robert H. Wilson officiating. Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
