Marshall was born on May 19, 1959 in Texas City, Texas, formerly of Alvin. He was Christian by faith and proudly served in the United States Army.

He worked for Lubrizol in Deer Park in the logistics industry for many years. He had a passion for cooking and logged many hours with his bbq pit. He liked classic rock and jazz and loved spending time with his family.

He enjoyed traveling and his dogs were his children. Marshall is survived by his mother, Norma Youngdoff and husband Wendell, father, Harvey Thompson, sister, Karon Winwood and husband Howard, brothers, Bobby Thompson and wife Charlene, Keith Thompson and Darlene Taylor, nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
