Martin Bakerman, 72, of Davenport, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City. He was born on November 4, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Samuel Bakerman and Ann (Grodofsky) Bakerman. He was raised in Venezuela and while living in Caracas, Venezuela, he grew up in the Coney Island Amusement Park that his family owned.

Later in life, he moved to the United States and was residing in Miami, FL until he moved to Davenport, FL in February 9, 2018. Martin was a longstanding and proud member of the Mensa Society and was a business entrepreneur for most of his career. Martin was an amazing, wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was an incredibly intelligent and skilled man who spent time building, creating and inventing anything that came to his mind. Martin loved everything about Disney and a lover of gadgets. In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting Disney with his wife.

He had a great sense of humor and was a generous and reliable man who will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and he leaves behind his loving wife, of 53 years, Milagros “Mila”; sons, Lawrence Bakerman and wife, Michelle; Lee Bakerman and wife, Caroline and grandchildren, Zoe and Margot. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 11:30 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL.
