Obituary for Dr. Wray Allen Hammer Wray Allen Hammer, MD, 84 of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at home. Born February 11, 1934 in Davie, Florida he moved here in 1964 after completing Medical School at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He retired from Gessler Clinic, where he practiced Internal Medicine.

He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Winter Haven, and a member of the Imperial Recorder Consort in Lakeland, FL. Dr. Hammer is survived by: his wife Esther W. Hammer; his children, Larry Hammer and his wife, Darla of Sylva, NC, Ann Green and her husband Mike of Sylva, NC and Stanley Hammer and his wife Kelly of Sylva, NC; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A Graveside service will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
