Jean I. Marlett, 90, of Haines City, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Savannah Court. She was born on February 19, 1928 to Henry Bowers and Lois (Traux) Bowers in Kent County, Michigan. She grew up on the family farm and attended Cedar Springs High school in Cedar Springs, MI before moving here in 1988.

She was a volunteer for the Heart of Florida Hospital for 20 years and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. She was a member of the Senior Patriots. Jean loved playing Bingo, cards, and working on her puzzle books.

She also enjoyed traveling. Jean loved going to church, reading her Bible, and she prayed regularly. She was pre-deceased by her parents and husband Robert Marlett, her sisters; Lila Woodhull, Garnet Hitsel, Gladys Collins and brother Jack Bowers.

Jean is survived by her children; sons, Robert “Phil” and wife Diane Marlett of Winter Haven, Paul and wife Pam Marlett of Onekama, MI, Grandchildren; Steve Marlett (Heather) of Port Rich, MI, Amy Billings (Jonathan) of Ludington, MI, Scott Marlett (Dr Shawn) of Hickory Corners, MI, Great-grandchildren Lucas Marlett, Lauren Marlett, Naomi Billings, Eleah Billings, Bryce Billings, Madeline Billings. Jean also has 8 nieces and 4 nephews. A public visitation will be held at the Oak ridge Funeral Care in Haines City on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM until the service at 3:00 PM with Dr Carter officiating.
