Marvin’s Obituary Marvin A. Schiefer Millington, MI formerly of Frankenmuth, MI Passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a short illness; age 92 years. Marvin was born on December 29, 1926 in Tuscola Co, MI to the late Albert and Emily (Krauter) Schiefer. He was married to Marion Zwerk she predeceased him in 2010.

Marvin was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Millington, serving on many committees. He was employed by Universal of Frankenmuth for 30 plus years. Marvin enjoyed farming, music, the outdoors and especially spending time with his family.

Surviving are five children, Marie (Leonard) Ross of Vassar, MI, Marlene (Andy) Stratton of Millington, MI, Marcia (Tim) Hammerbacher of Saginaw, MI, Barbara (Dan) Amstutz of Florida, Karl (Marlla) Schiefer of Millington, MI; three very devoted grandchildren, Don (Julie) Duvernois of Frankenmuth, MI, Jeff (Tammy) Stratton of Saginaw, MI, Corey Stratton of Millington, MI; many great-grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Marion, a brother, Arnold (Frieda) Schiefer, two sisters, Leona (Arnold) Weber and Lorine (Robert) Creer. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4941 W. Center St. Millington.

Reverend Bruner will officiate with burial at Newton-Campou Cemetery. Marvin’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church Millington.
